From the tiny Epson SureColor F170 all the way up to the 75” Large Format Mutoh ValueJet 1948WX, dye sublimation printers come in all shapes and sizes. A dye sub printer heats solid ink, causing it to sublimate, meaning it skips the liquid form and transitions directly into a gas. Once the ink hits the media, it transitions from a gas back to solid, and a full-color image is the end result.
