Choosing a DTF powder for the garment
DTF powder is a hot melt adhesive. It goes onto the wet ink right after printing, gets cured, and it's what bonds the transfer to the fabric under the press. The right one depends on what you're pressing onto.
White hot melt powder. The everyday choice for most garments, and what most of your runs will use.
Black powder. For dark garments, where a white adhesive edge could show around the design.
Flex powder. Stays softer after curing, so prints on stretchy athletic wear move with the fabric instead of cracking.
Low migration powder. Built to hold back dye migration, which is when polyester dye bleeds into a white print under the heat of the press.
