DTF ink isn't interchangeable. Cartridge shape, chip, and volume are tied to the printer, so the first question is always which machine you're feeding.
Matching ink to your printer
Epson printheads. Color Prime Chroma is made for the Prestige line and runs on most DTF printers, and Epson supplies its own UltraChrome DF for the SureColor DTF models.
STS printers. Cartridges in a couple of sizes, plus liter pouches once you're going through it faster.
Prestige wide format. Color Prime RGBO is an extended gamut set, built for the saturated colors standard CMYK can't reach. It earns its keep the day a customer hands you a logo and expects the exact shade back.
Mimaki and xTool. Heat transfer pigment ink for the Mimaki TxF line, and ink for the xTool Apparel Printer.
White is the channel that decides a transfer. It's sold separately where you burn through it faster than color, which on dark garments is most of the time.
Cleaning solutions
Ink sitting in a head is what kills printers. Cleaning solution in cartridges and bottles, nozzle busting solution for clogs that have set in, dummy cartridges and head wash for storage or a long shutdown. None of it is exciting until the day you need it.

Can I use any DTF ink in my printer?
No. Match the ink to the printhead and the cartridge format your machine takes. Running the wrong ink usually voids warranty coverage, and clogged heads cost more than the ink ever saved.
What does the white ink do?
It's the underbase. Color printed straight onto film disappears on a dark garment, so white lays down first and everything else sits on top of it. That's why white empties faster than any other channel.
