The xTool M2 is the first craft laser in its class that pairs laser cutting and engraving with optional full-color CMYK printing, so finished products like stickers, bag tags, door signs, and personalized gifts come off the bed ready to hand to a customer. No second machine, no transferring material between devices, no alignment guesswork.

It arrives pre-assembled, works with 300+ materials, and its enclosed Class 1 design is certified safe enough to run at the kitchen table. Whether you are testing a product idea, running a craft fair booth, or adding personalization to an existing business, the M2 is built to go from design to sellable product in one sitting.

Skip the second machine. Add the optional CMYK inkjet module and the M2 prints full-color designs, then cuts them out in the same job. True print-then-cut for stickers, temporary tattoos, tags, and signs without switching devices. The four-color cartridge includes true black (three-color CMY printers simulate it by mixing), so photos and text come out retail-ready at 1200 x 1200 DPI.
Place designs right the first time. The dual-camera ACS system (5MP panoramic plus 2MP close-range) gives you a live preview of your material, auto-detects it, auto-aligns your design, and auto-loads settings. Positioning is accurate to 0.2 mm, so you stop burning test scraps.
No trial-and-error setup. Autofocus, one-click Material EasySet presets, and a built-in adjustable air pump mean there is nothing external to buy, plumb, or calibrate before your first cut.
Cut real product materials. The 10W laser cuts 8 mm basswood in one pass; step up to 20W for 10 mm basswood and 8 mm black acrylic. Sealed edges on felt, no fraying on fabric, no weeding on paper, clean details on wood.
Engrave tumblers without rebuilding your setup. The laser fires horizontally, so with the optional RA3 Lite rotary you can full-wrap engrave cups, bottles, and any cylinder from 0 to 100 mm with no riser base required.
Grow into it. Start with the 10W laser, then add the 20W module, the 3W infrared laser for metal marking, the CMYK print module, or the rotary as your product line expands. One machine, four capabilities.

This is the module that turns the M2 from a laser into a product line. Four-color CMYK printing means HD photos, rich true blacks, and colors that look retail-ready, and the laser then cuts each printed design out with camera-guided precision in the same session. At roughly 800 pages per cartridge, one cartridge covers a lot of craft fair inventory.

Good to know: the M2 runs on xTool Studio (not LightBurn or XCS). The inkjet has no white ink, so bare metal, glass, and clear surfaces need a pre-treatment coating before printing, and the diode laser does not cut clear acrylic or bare and mirror-finished metals. Materials, ink cartridges, and add-on modules are sold separately. Every M2 includes a 12-month warranty, and extended xToolCare coverage is available.

What is the difference between the bundles?

All configurations cut and engrave. The Standalone is the laser on its own. The Color Print and Cut bundle adds the CMYK inkjet print head for full-color print-then-cut. The Deluxe bundle adds the print head plus the RA3 Lite rotary for full-wrap engraving. Each is also available with the 20W laser.

Does it really print in full color and cut in the same machine?

Yes. The CMYK inkjet head prints your full-color design at 1200 dpi, then you swap in the magnet-mounted laser module. The 5MP overhead and 2MP close-range cameras register the laser to the printed art to about 0.2mm, so it cuts and engraves on the line without you moving the material.

What can it cut and engrave, and what can't it?

The diode laser cuts wood, opaque acrylic, paper, cardstock, cardboard, MDF, leather, and felt, and engraves those plus stainless steel, aluminum, plated metal, glass, ceramic, and more, 300+ materials in all. It does not cut clear acrylic or bare and mirror-finished metals, and it cannot process PVC vinyl. For marking bare metals, an optional 3W infrared module is available.

Can it print on anything?

The CMYK head prints on photo and sticker paper, cardstock, temporary-tattoo paper, shrink film, felt, and more, and on wood, canvas, fabric, acrylic, and glass with a pre-treatment. There is no white ink, so bare metal, glass, and ceramic need a coating first and color sits best on lighter surfaces.

What software does it use?

The M2 runs on xTool Studio for Windows and Mac, with Material EasySet one-click presets, AI design tools, and a built-in library of 3,000+ design elements and 1,500+ fonts. It is not compatible with LightBurn or XCS. It imports SVG, DXF, JPG, PNG, and BMP and connects over USB or Wi-Fi.

What is not included?

The base machine ships with the laser module, cables, smoke exhaust pipe, clamp, magnetic fixtures, a starter material pack, and tools. Project materials are sold separately, and ink is a consumable (a cartridge comes with the print bundles, and replacements are purchased over time). The CMYK print head is included only in the Color Print and Cut and Deluxe bundles, and the RA3 Lite rotary only in the Deluxe bundle. The 20W laser, 3W IR module, and air purifier are optional add-ons. Your AAPS specialist can spec the right setup for what you make.

Is it safe to run at home?

Yes. The M2 is a fully enclosed Class 1 laser certified by TUV SUD, with an eye-protecting cover, a lid-open auto-stop, tilt detection, and a built-in air pump, so it is designed for homes and classrooms. Every M2 also includes a 12-month warranty, with extended xToolCare coverage available.
