One of my favorite tag lines we like to use around here at All American Print Supply has got to be “Your success is our success,” and I cannot think of a better client to exemplify this than Ryan and Mark Palmer of T-Shirt Storm. I have seen this team grow firsthand from a high-end DIY clothing brand built from the ground up, guerilla market their way across the entire United States, land a license deal/retail location/distribution with the Disney company and apply all of that experience and knowledge into a successful print on demand (POD) and fulfillment service company. They work with streetwear brands, musicians, influences and businesses such as gyms, bars and restaurants. All American Print Supply and Epson have been at the core of their new endeavor’s success, and they were kind enough to let us take a peek in their operation and share their story.
Mark Palmer, despite millions of his designs having been tattooed on clients worldwide, does not actually have a single tattoo. Mark is a pioneer in the art of ”Ambigram typography." Ambigram refers to a writing style that allows letters to be read either upside down and right side up! His art can be seen on clients all over the world and this is the foundation upon which they have built their empire. Traveling the tattoo convention circuit for years with a team of talented artists, Mark Palmer’s signature style of unique lettering has been the subject of countless tattoo designs across the globe since 2005.
Ryan Palmer makes up the other side of T-Shirt Storm. The co-owner and head of operations, Ryan ensures the equipment is running in tip-top shape. The quality level is set for high satisfaction and their staff are well trained in production. I usually deal with Ryan more directly as he is always interested in the latest innovations to increase the efficiency of his business. They have been model candidates for some of our best sellings products and services such as the upgraded Kothari NeoRIP software, Printflo barcode automation and more! The Palmer business has always been a family business and they have even brought in family members to assist in accounting and manufacturing. Their hands on approach to everything made them super prepared to enter the print on demand world guns blazing.
It is one thing to know how to print, but running a clothing line is an entire different animal in itself; these two bring an entirely unique approach to the industry. Their clients rely on them to produce “huge, full color graphics perfectly every time and (they) guarantee that (their) prints will last more than 100 washes." But they don’t just stop at the printing, they also offer full service branding with everything from custom hang tags and flyers, neck labeling and even website and online store building and set up! Orders can be printed, packed and shipped so that it appears to come direct from the client (with their logos and branding) and the client never had to touch a thing. And all with ZERO INVENTORY.
We hope you enjoy part 1 of this inside look into one of our most knowledgeable and successful clients.
